Omega respects and honors exceptional athletes from around the globe. Serving as Official Timekeeper to both the Olympic and Paralympic Games has been a joy for Omega. The Paralympic Winter Games gave way to 5 gold medals for super skier, Lauren Woolstencroft. Lauren made a name for herself at the 2002 Games, bringing home 2 gold medals and her career just keeps getting better. The Canadian “Golden Girl” of the Paralympic Games, Lauren made history by being the only Paralympian to win five gold medals at the Paralympic Games. Because of this amazing achievement, Omega was moved to present her with one a timepiece fitting an athlete of her caliber. Lauren was given a Planet Ocean women’s watch from the Omega Seamaster Collection. Lauren was moved and was quoted as saying “What a great honor to be recognized and to be given the gift of time for my accomplishments at the Paralympic Winter Games. To receive an Omega watch from the Official Timekeepers of the 2010 Paralympic Games is very exciting!” Omega continues to recognize hard work and dedication when it finds it. The same tenacity that goes into making a champion athlete goes into Omega’s creations. Check out the entire Seamaster Collection.
