The White Sox and Movado for Men

There’s nothing better than free, good press and Movado just scored big time when Chicago White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle mentioned Movado watches. For those of us who don’t know, Buehrle pitched a perfect game on July 23, 2009 and was extra surprised when he got a congratulatory phone call from President Obama, himself a huge White Sox fan; being that Obama is from Chicago.
In an interview following the game Buehrle said he is “still deciding” what to buy his teammates, and what to buy center-fielder Dewayne Wise, to celebrate the accomplishment.
After he pitched a no-hitter in 2007, he bought diamond-encrusted Movado watches for Dewayne Wise and catcher A.J. Pierzynski and other timepieces for the entire rest of the team. This time around, if Pierzynski and the other teammates get watches again, they may make out better than Wise, poor guy. Buehrle has said that he is considering for Wise a painting depicting the dramatic 9th-inning catch and would be inscribed with the words: “saved my perfect game.”
Which would you prefer? A luxury watch or a painting? Hmmm, probably the watch and Movado is a great watch to get. Handsome, well-made, sleek and sporty, and with hundreds of designs and styles to choose from, the Movado team consistently delivers the best selection for luxury watch enthusiasts to enjoy.
For men, Movado has two collections, the Series 800 and ESQ collections that really play these features up. The Series 800 collection comes in three sizes and features surgical-grade performance steel, resilient straps and is water resistant up to 200 meters. The ESQ collection is more refined, featuring rubber or leather straps and stainless steel and rose gold cases.
With athletes of the caliber of talent like Tom Brady and Derek Jeter being ambassadors for Movado watches, it’s no wonder that Mark Buehrle decided to get his team Movados. They can only hope they get as lucky this year.
Good news for you is that you don’t have to earn a baseball player’s salary to get your own Movado men’s watch. We have all the styles and models right here at prices that will still leave you money for some peanuts and beer at the next game.
