The SE Extreme by Movado

The SE Extreme collection of men’s and women’s watches by Movado takes not only the watch, but the brand, to new levels.
These are powerful looking timepieces that received much acclaim when they were shown at Baselworld 2009 last April. The SE stands for “sporty elegance” and that’s exactly the feeling these watches by Movado give off.
The SE Extreme collection maintains some of Movado’s signature features, like the single dot at the 12 o’clock position and stick hands, but also departs from the typically thin, light-weight watches that Movado is known for.
These SE Extreme watches are thick, featuring what’s called “sandwich construction” which features alternating layers of brushed and polished stainless steel. The oversized case (up to 44 mm in the men’s version) is all about making a “large and in charge” statement. The bevels are sharply cut and have four, flat dots around them. An upgraded protective crown mechanism and case back decoration add more flair to the SE Extreme collection.
There are two men’s versions, with a black or silver dial and with “Movado” written in red at the bottom. Since diamonds are no longer just used for women’s watches, one of the men’s watches from the SE Extreme collection features 1.610 carats worth of diamonds, rendering it seriously sporty and elegant.
For the women’s versions, there are two models, both measure 34 mm. One comes with a black dial and brushed bezel, while the other comes with a stainless steel case with 0.644 carats of diamonds that make two rows and a white mother of pearl dial.
Just when you think you’ve seen it all from Movado, they go ahead and bring out a collection that is bigger and better.
