Modern Watches, Not For Me

Watches have become so important to us. Watches come in all shapes and sizes, with all kinds of bells and whistles. Watches don’t just tell time, anymore. They are crafted by master artisans, who have spent a lifetime perfecting their work. The innovation and technology has turned some modern watches into mini-computers, or micro-machines. Here are a few modern watches I have found. OMD makes a line of highly technical designer timepieces. These watches are futuristic in appearance. Their Pixel Electroluminescent Curve is like a digital bangle. This watch is made from a hard plastic like material, in black and the numbers show up digitally in a linear fashion. Not exactly mu cup of tea. I much prefer the tradition of fine Swiss watchmaking. I still love the pocket watch, and will always love the feel of gold against my wrist. Give me a Cartier Tank watch, or a Michele watch…and I’ll be tickled pink. These new modern watches may have a place in the future, but I believe the market is small. I know with the times, comes change. I will accept that when I have to, but for now…I’m just an old fashioned girl who loves a watch…that still looks like a watch, how about you?
