Gretzky for Breitling
Posted on 28. Dec, 2009 by Chandra Coleman in Breitling
Wayne Gretzky is known as “The Great One.” He’s a hockey legend and even though he hasn’t played in ages, he’s been coaching pro hockey until very recently when he stepped down to be able to focus on his family.
There is also buzz about this Canadian hockey legend because come February the Winter Games will be held in Canada and sponsored by Omega watches. Gretzky’s name has been tossed around as the native personality that may light the Olympic torch at the opening ceremony, but we’ll have to wait and see if that happens.
Even though he has given up hockey, his endorsement and sponsorship deals remain lucrative; one of these being with Breitling watches. “The Great One” has been a Breitling Ambassador since 2006. There are certain watch brands, like TAG Heuer, who will create a specific watch for a celebrity and / or brand ambassador. Breitling does not tend to do this. Whether Gretzky himself wears a Breitling Navitmer, Windrider or a piece from the Breitling for Bentley collection, there are certainly many elegant choices of men’s watches to choose from.
Breitling specializes in making precision timepieces that are rugged, crafted from high quality materials and can withstand serious wear and tear; perfect for a hockey player who is used to get slammed around.
Brad Pitt, John Travolta and others love their Breitling watches
