Breitling Superocean Heritage Chronograph 125th Anniversary Watch
Posted on 04. Aug, 2009 by Chandra Coleman in Breitling
To celebrate the 125th anniversary of Breitling watches, the company has come out with a limited edition line of three chronographs that compliment the original Superocean Heritage Chronograph collection.
This special edition has three watches, each limited to 1,000 pieces in each color: black, white, or blue dial. Based on the color of the dial, come the names: Black Volcano, Silver and Gun Status Blue. Each watch has red hands for the chronograph dial that makes for a nice contrast with the dial color. These watches are manufactured using the Breitling Caliber 23 and like their forefathers, each measures 46mm wide and is 200 meters (660 feet) water resistant. The black dial watch comes with a black rubber “port hole” strap, while the white and blue ones come with a woven, steel metal bracelet.
In celebration of 125 years of watchmaking, each of these Superocean Heritage Chronograph Anniversary Edition watches are adorned with the “B” for Breitling in 18K gold, placed above the brand name at the 12 o’clock position.
Breitling watches were originally made for those in the aviation industry. Once the company conquered the skies, they set off to create luxury timepieces that would perform well in the water; diver’s watches. Thus was born the first Superocean series. The Superocean Heritage Chronograph Anniversary Edition watches capitalize on this success and seek to remind the watch world that since 1884, Breitling has been creating watches that are “instruments for professionals” and that their near indestructibility and ability to perform under rugged conditions, have earned them the reputation that they continue to hold and enjoy today.
What’s even better is that you don’t have to be a pilot or a deep-sea diver to appreciate Breitling watches. There is an impressive collection from which to select and at our prices, each and every Breitling is affordable.
